The program at Campbelltown Community Preschool is guided by the National Early Years Learning Framework. This framework has been developed to enhance children’s learning in the early years and is based on the theory of children ‘learning through play.’
Each room has a set routine of the day so children are able to predict what will happen next. At Campbelltown Community Preschool we believe that the program is a ‘living’ curriculum that occurs throughout and therefore staff are also able to work spontaneously to cater for individual children’s needs. All our environments are developed from observations of all children both individual and groups of children and discussed at regular weekly meetings to cater for any changes.
Our Learning Environments:
The Outdoor environment is a large, natural and challenging space where children can explore and engage in the many experiences available to them.
The program is based around developing the child’s physical and motor skills, social skills as well as providing opportunities to be in quiet spaces for reading, being creative, completing puzzles and just to observe the happenings around them.
